Jeff Townsend finalJeff Townsend is a veteran of the profession of political advocacy, having been a founding partner of the Endeavour Consulting Group in 1998.

He enjoyed prior experience as a senior public servant and Ministerial Adviser. Jeff served for a decade in the Prime Minister’s Department in the Hawke/Keating period and was Senior Private Secretary to Prime Minister Bob Hawke and Chief of Staff to Trade Minister John Dawkins.

He was subsequently Chief Executive of several ACT Government Departments, including the Chief Minister's Department and the Department of Environment, Land and Planning.

Jeff possesses specialist knowledge and experience of the political process at the highest levels and has observed at close quarters the interaction between political and public service imperatives.

Following the 2013 Federal Election, Belinda served as the Office Manager for the Leader of the Opposition, the Hon Bill Shorten MP.

Emma Macdonald

Emma Macdonald is a multi-award winning journalist, who has worked on the front line of journalism for 25 years. More than half were spent in the Parliament House Press Gallery, where Emma was The Canberra Times’ Bureau Chief.

Emma has been a regular commentator on politics across television and radio. She has won critical acclaim for her work, receiving two Walkley Awards (1993 and 2003) and an ACT Telstra Business Woman of the Year Award in 2016.

She is the Convenor of Women in Media Canberra and regularly presents live National Press Club addresses.

Emma is able to provide clients with a wide range of media services. This includes advice on proactive and targeted media campaigns, helping train staff and CEOs on engagement and performance across television, radio and print media, and drafting press releases for maximum impact.

She can also help with media strategy and crisis management using her experience of the Press Gallery and media contacts.  An experienced public speaker, Emma can assist in keynote address preparation and delivery.

Jane Seaborn

Jane is a situational strategist who has been guiding organisations to understand, navigate and influence target audience attitudes and behaviours for more than two decades.

After a successful career as a journalist and media advisor, including for three Howard Government Ministers, Jane spent a decade in her own marketing communications firm, which was later acquired by Australia’s leading campaign consultancy, Crosby|Textor. As a senior research and strategy consultant with C|T she managed campaigns and provided strategic counsel to leaders in most of Australia’s top 25 ASX-listed companies and industry peak bodies.

She uniquely combines evidence-based research insights and communications experience to explain how issues are likely to play out in the public realm and deliver actionable recommendations for clients. She often works closely behind the scenes with organisations facing sudden challenges, in crisis and issues management (such as the Bali bombings), and with legal teams in cases with potential media interest.

Allan King

Allan King is a well-respected government affairs practitioner, with more than 25 years' experience working in Canberra. With an initial career starting in the Prime Minister's Department, he has served in the Cabinet Office, and in the Prime Minister's Office as a private secretary.

He is a specialist in the fields of aviation and telecommunications and has assisted a range of major national and international clients in airline and airport operations, satellite services, broadband, banking, wagering and health care.

Allan has considerable experience engaging with the federal bureaucracy in addition to being extremely familiar with procedures and conventions in both Parliament and government.
